Winter Pep Rally 2025

During a snowy Friday afternoon, WJ students packs the main gym in three different periods for the annual winter pep rally. Each pep rally concluded with a grade-level competition where participants threw a pom-pom into a “hoop.”

Boys’ basketball is introduced in the pep rally on the day of their first regular season matchup against Rockville High School. The Wildcats went on to win 57-42.

The Bocce team is introduced to the crowd during the second pep rally. The team opened up their season on Dec. 15 at home against Whitman.

WJ Poms shows off their famous wave, pumping up the crowd. Once performed, the crowd erupted in cheers.

WJ’s K-pop dance team “KPRO” shows off during their appearance at the pep rally.

Outfitted in bald caps in reference to recording artist Pitbull, WJ Poms perform to the tune of some hits made by Pitbull.

Seniors Zaph Abbey and Norah Youssef compete in an “around-the-world” match. Youssef took the first victory, but Abbey followed up with back-to-back wins in the last two pep rallies.

WJ Drumline, along with Pep Band, provides the sound and energy for three rounds of the winter pep rally.

The STEP Team performs a non music step for students attending the pep rally. After the non music step, the team led into a dance number to Missy Elliots “Lose Control.”
