Protesters gathered in front of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on March 8 to call for the repeal and cessation of Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE) cuts to the institution. The NIH is the largest employer in Montgomery County, and many WJ families hold positions at the NIH or other federal institutions like the Food and Drug Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and National Aeronautics and Space Administration, which have come under scrutiny from the DOGE.
