A group of sophomores transforms their hall into a scene of New Year’s nightlife. In addition to the traditional New York ball drop, the sophomores decided to add a section dedicated to Lunar New Year as well.

On the Thursday before Homecoming seniors made finishing touches on their hall. Decorating lasted until 8:00 p.m. and seniors’ effort was well worth it when they won 1st place for best hall.

The freshman’s theme was “Birthdays” and they really pulled it off. Their hall took students from birth to death, the morbidity was offset with bright colors and festive decorations.

Senior Summer Garcia paints a classic Mardi Gras jester to adorn the Student Common’s wall. Seniors researched Mardi Gras traditions and the “Harlequin” character was one of them.

Students tour the freshmen hall where students sing “Happy Birthday” and hand out party hats. From the ceiling decorations to the mood lighting, you could tell freshmen put a lot of effort into their theme.
