Marvel Cinematic Studios has grown into one of the most successful film-creating entities in the world. From their first movie, Iron Man, staring the beloved, Robert Downey Jr., all the way to their most recent installation “Captain Marvel”, grossing $114 million on its first weekend. The studio has generated a cult-like following that has only expanded over their ten year run.
“Avengers: Infinity War” has set the stage for a thrilling fourth and final film of Marvel’s “phase one”. With half of the population in the universe turning to dust, the remaining heroes have to find a way to defeat the one responsible for the decimation; Thanos.
The new film, titled “Avengers: Endgame”, currently has two official trailers and has caused endless speculation about what the movie may entail. Endgame is rumored to be a whopping three hours long. There isn’t much pushback from the community about this as they are aware this may be the last time they see their favorite superheroes on the big screen.
At least one major star, Chris Evans, has made it clear to the public that his contract with Marvel will expire after this film and he has expressed that he has no interest in resigning. This movie will act as a send off for him and probably more of the original Avengers, such as Iron Man, Thor ,and Captain America.
Fans couldn’t be more excited for what the directors, Joe and Anthony Russo have in store for them. As the date nears, he buzz continues to grow.
Here at WJ, students are counting the days until they will have to opportunity to experience what Marvel has in store.
“This movie coming out is one of the very few things keeping me sane,” senior Emilia Toloza said. Actor, Chris Hemsworth, who has had the honor of being awarded the “Sexiest man Alive award” by “People Magazine”, will be playing the powerful Thor, who almost took down the Mad Titan all by himself.
“Chris Hemsworth is probably the sexiest person I’ve seen besides my boyfriend of course,” senior Bela DeCampos said.
It is safe to say that when “Avengers: Endgame” reaches theaters on April 26th, it will have the theaters packed and will leave fans either very satisfied, or heartbroken.
