Traditional Taiwanese foods laid on the Taiwan table at International Night.

India’s table coordinated by SASU included pani puri, a popular Indian street food that consists of crispy, hollow, fried dough balls (puri) filled with a mixture of spiced water, potatoes, chickpeas, and other ingredients.

Brazil’s colorful table included different foods such as Pan de Queso.

The French table included drawings of famous landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, and popular French items such as a jersey of soccer club Paris Saint-Germain.

WJ’s auditorium fills up to watch the student performances. “I think what made this year a standout year is that we had multiple students who had never participated on stage previously,” event organizer and ESOL resource teacher Andrew Won said.

Performers gather together cheerfully following the end of International Night. “I think International Night is special because it is the only event that’s almost entirely run by ESOL students,” Won said.

Seniors Thailane Romero Ozorio, Sky Abreu Delancer and Destiny Andino-Montano show off traditional Dominican clothing during the fashion show.

Marya Mollejas Nieto and Camila Rivera performed a traditional Venezuelan Joropo dance. The dance celebrates the spirit of the Llanos, which are large grasslands.

WJ’s Taekwondo Club performs a variety of martial arts skills for the audience. They also performed earlier in the year during the Asian assembly for the entire student body.

WJ club Pasión Latino performed a dance. The club won 5 trophies at the 2025 Junior Division Competition. They aim to represent different Latino countries in all of their dances.

Students from Rwanda performed dsong “Mpore” by Yvan Muziki. The performance celebrated healing, resistance, and unity.
