After the senior ceremony, the graduating seniors gather outside the cafeteria to pose for a photo. They reflect on the block party and their experiences in the Black Student Union. “I’m so grateful for the event, I’ve been in the BSU since freshman year with all my seniors and for us to be graduating together is just amazing, I’m grateful for these people!” senior Bryan Kibet said.

After the step team performance and senior ceremony, the guests gathered together to dance until 9 p.m. “I am so happy to be here and glad to be a part of this wonderful club. It’s truly been a pleasure being a part of this club, learning about myself, meeting others, and continuing to strive together. I encourage any young black student to join the club because you will truly start a family and become united with others,” senior Danna Taveras said.

Members and guests work together to decorate and sign appreciation boards for the seniors to take home. Attendees had the option to write a short message to the graduating seniors on their boards.
