This past weekend, former principal Jennifer Baker shocked the WJ community by announcing her plans to reclaim her position. In a bold move, she filed a lawsuit against current principal Nicole Morgan, accusing her of abusing her authority.
In a scathing statement to MCPS, Baker criticized Morgan for her “fake swag” and “lack of spirit.” Adding fuel to the fire, new evidence surfaced suggesting that Morgan engaged in an extramarital affair with “Mighty Moo” in return for her promotion to principal.
Unbeknownst to the WJ community, these two have been feuding for months. According to School Administration Secretary Keira M. Kinsey Nahar, the animosity between Baker and Morgan turned the office into a “warzone.”
“It was getting to a point where they would cancel each other’s meetings, hide each other’s lunches, and steal each other’s coffee,” Nahar said.
Unfortunately, this issue is much larger than a personal dispute. In light of the lawsuit, many students, parents, alumni, and staff have spoken up, taking sides and engaging in heated debates on social media and in community meetings.
“One thing we noticed was that Morgan would consistently steal Baker’s parking spot, which was exclusively reserved for the principal. You could tell there was a lot of tension between them,” the security team said.
On a darker note, some claims questioned the integrity and loyalty of the principals.
“Ms. Baker is not the ‘Mama Wildcat’ she claims to be. I didn’t want to do this, but I owe it to the community to tell them the truth. Last fall, at the BCC vs WJ football game, I saw her talking to a group of Barons. I let it slide, until I heard her chanting along with them. That’s when I realized that she was a traitor,” an anonymous student said.
Amidst the chaos, national media attention has turned its focus to WJ, with news outlets covering the feud and its implications. Various celebrities have also gotten involved, publicly making their allegiances. Figures like Tom Cruise, Pitbull, Margot Robbie, and Nicki Minaj spoke out in support of Baker, while Justin Bieber, Leonardo Dicaprio, Taylor Swift and the Pope voiced their unwavering love for Morgan.
As the legal battle between Baker and Morgan intensifies, both principals have hired high profile lawyers to represent them. Baker has retained the services of renowned litigator, Elle Woods. Meanwhile, Morgan has secured the expertise of Kim Kardasian as well as the “Notorious RBG”.
The future of WJ remains unclear, with neither of the principals offering any official comments at this time. The WJ Pitch is committed to providing updates on this story as new developments arise.
