Music teacher Christopher Kosmaceski emphasized how the peculiar origins of jazz contribute to its highly unique style. “The history of jazz is unique, and in that relatively short period of time of history there are still many variations. Jazz is still evolving from swing to the latin styles, to bebop, to fusion, to even elements of hip-hop, and the blues. I mean there’s a lot there, and that’s in just a really short amount of time.
