Q: What is the purpose of your club?
A: To fundraise for different charities and make a difference in the community and create a community in school.
Q: Do you guys have club events outside of school? If so, what do you do?
A: Yes, lots of fundraisers, dinner at Shake Shack coming up, bake sale, work with Nami.
Q: What does a normal club meeting look like?
A: Have 30 people, presenting events, get to know members and brainstorm ideas with them.
Q: Where and when do you meet?
A: Every other Thursday in room 257 at lunch.

Q: What is the purpose of your club?
A: Key Club is an international club that helps better communities throughout the world. At WJ we try to help students and local organizations to the best of our ability. Our club is very service driven so members can get SSL hours for every meeting and event they come to.
Q: Do you guys have club events outside of school? If so, what do you do?
A: Yes, we have a few restaurant fundraisers throughout the year. Our biggest event is the senior citizen luncheon where many retirements homes come to WJ and we serve them Thanksgiving dinner. This year we are hoping to volunteer at hospitals and homeless shelters.
Q: What does a normal club meeting look like?
A: At a typical meeting we plan new events and brainstorm ideas. We try to make it quick and not take up all of lunch.
Q: Where and when do you meet?
A: We meet every other Thursday in room 168 at lunch.
Best Buddies President Maya Sachs…..
Q: What is the purpose of your club?
A: The purpose of best buddies is to create an inclusive environment where friendships between people with and without IDD can be made.
Q: Do you guys have club events outside of school? If so, what do you do?
A: Yes! We do things like our Halloween dance, go to Butler’s Orchard for a bonfire and hayride, go to the Polar Plunge in Annapolis, and so much more.
Q: What does a normal club meeting look like?
A: A normal club meeting would happen in the student commons at lunch. There is always pizza and drinks and it’s a great time to chat and catch up with your buddy. We usually will have some sort of fun activity or arts and crafts planned for people to do as well.
Q: Where and when do you meet?
A: We meet the third Tuesday of every month, in the student commons, at lunch!
Sources of Strength President Victoria Renstch…
Q: What is the purpose of your club?
A: The mission of sources of strength is to educate WJ about mental health, break the stigma around mental illness, and spread strength and positivity throughout the school.
Q: Do you guys have club events outside of school? If so, what do you do?
A: We don’t usually have event outside of school, as most of the campaigns we do happen during the school day
Q: What does a normal club meeting look like?
A: A normal club meeting always starts with a fun game/icebreaker, a discussion about mental health, or a general check in on how everyone’s doing. after that, we’ll complete a campaign. a campaign example would be putting sticky notes with positive messages around the school, or making and hanging up posters with statistics about mental health.
Q: Where and when do you meet?
A: Last year, we met every other Wednesday in the student commons. Model UN is using that space this year, so we might have to change locations or days.
