68 seasons after Walter Johnson High School was founded, the school named after Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson has won the state baseball championship. The Wildcats beat the Urbana Hawks 7-6 to capture the 4A MPSSA title. Senior Sean Rudick walked off the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with an RBI single to secure the victory.
