Varsity field hockey has had a competitive start to their season, with both of their games going to double overtime. Both games ended in a Wildcat loss, with scores of 0-1 against Holy Cross and 1-2 against Churchill.
The girls are expecting to bounce back against their future opponents.
“The girls are looking past their losses and are working harder than ever,” senior Emilia Toloza said.
Everyone on the team is excited for the rest of their season. Junior Brooke Haines feels like field hockey has given her a sense of community.Senior Polly Litts believes the team’s great chemistry will allow them to be successful this season.
“I love that our team has so much spirit this season. We have so much love for one another and that really shows itself on the field. We are going to be a strong squad this year,” Litts said.
Field hockey’s next game is on Tuesday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. at home against Richard Montgomery.
