The girls soccer team settled for a 1-1 tie Thursday vs. Sherwood, after playing a low-scoring, solid game.
Senior forward and co-captain Chaucia Sydnor scored WJ’s only goal off a corner kick while defense played hard, only allowing 1 goal to a very good Sherwood team.

“The forwards made good runs and the defense did a good job talking with each other and staying with their man,” said Sydnor.
