The girls tennis cause quite a raquet with yet another victory on Monday, beating Magruder 6-1, on their home courts of WJ.
Sophomore singles player Sarah Bernstein won in a dominating fashion, winning her sets 6-0 and 6-2. During the second match, junior singles player Sarah Andrews won in three sets, as did freshman singles player Arielle Hartz. Junior singles player Ksenia Kirilyuk won her singles match too.
However, doubles pair senior Ronique Taffe and junior Maggie Speer didn’t find such success, as their match was the only loss for WJ of the day.
The players continue to keep their heads up high about the rest of the season, feeling prepared for Tuesday’s match against Einstein.
“Well, since we won our first Division I match, it gives us confidence for the rest of the season,” said Bernstein.
