Senior Billie Lieber is thrilled to be on their first year on The Pitch as Podcast Editor. When not writing or recording, they’re crocheting or gaming.
Senior Joshua Singer is elated to be returning as Print Editor-in-Chief in his fourth year on The Pitch. Josh began his career with The Pitch during the second semester of his freshman year as a staff writer before becoming Print Sports Editor his sophomore year and Print Editor-in-Chief his junior year. Josh generally writes for the sports and news sections and has covered topics ranging from WJ’s gender distribution in AP classes to school safety issues to profiles on athletes and coaches. As a junior, Josh co-created The Pitch Radio Network, which broadcasts WJ sports live at wjpitch.mixlr.com. This past summer, Josh attended the Medill-Northwestern Journalism Institute where he enhanced his journalistic skills with the goals of making his senior year his best yet and furthering his career aspirations in journalism. During his free time, Josh enjoys running, playing guitar and announcing sports.
Senior Josh Hananel is an Online Editor-in-Chief for his fourth year with The Pitch. Along with writing for The Pitch, Josh revels in philosophy, movies, and running for the cross country team.
Senior Kaina Sy-Savane is excited for her first year in The Pitch as a Film Editor. Additionally, she spends her free time hanging out with friends and watching movies.
Senior Liam Barrett is delighted to serve as Online & Multimedia Managing Editor for his second year on The Pitch. Liam also does Mock Trial and Morning Announcements, and in his free time enjoys reading, not-mandatory writing, and martial arts.
Senior Isabel Chomas is excited to start her first year with The Pitch as a Staff Writer. Outside of The Pitch, Isabel enjoys hanging out with friends and running.
Rhea Noumair, Online Editor-in-Chief and Illustrator
Senior Rhea Noumair is in her fourth year of Pitch as an Online Editor-in-Chief and Illustrator. Other than writing opinion articles, Rhea enjoys playing and watching soccer, playing on the Girls’ Flag Football team, as well as listening to music and painting.
Senior Madeleine Simmons is excited to participate in her first year with The Pitch as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion editor. Outside of writing for the Pitch, she enjoys swimming and running.
