After their phenomenal 12-2 season, girls varsity soccer entered the playoffs looking to shine. The team received a first round bye, and was eager to go up against Sherwood in the second round.
The team has recognized that in order to succeed they will need to finish their scoring chances, and were able to do so against Sherwood on Nov. 2.
Junior forward Carly Van Wagoner said, “We executed everything we were supposed to do resulting in a 3-0 win.”
The team advanced to play Churchill in the 4A West regional semifinal, where the Wildcats fell to the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.
Standout player: Caroline Hagerty
Junior Hagerty provided the majority of the Wildcats’ fire power over the course of the season. Hagerty tallied 12 goals and nine assists.
