“[The songs] are properly vibin’ when I need to chillax or de-stress from school. They’re also entertaining as I enjoy both the music and the lyrical aspects of them.” Favorite lyric: “I’ll dig my grave/on a pretty day/and I’ll pick some flowers on the way/Just in case I stay” (Dom Fera, “Breathe”)

“[‘I am a Rock’ is] just a happy song that gets me in a good mood, despite its depressing lyrics. [The song] makes me ignore my emotional prob—issues and just push on through.” Favorite lyric: “And a rock feels no pain/And an island never cries” (Simon & Garfunkel, “I Am a Rock”)

“I have to listen to songs with a lot of energy, and the ones that get me pumped when I walk through the hallways. So, like a lot of indie pop and all that stuff… They always make me feel empowered, and of course, I always listen to a lot of female artists that make me feel like I’m the boss bitch.” Favorite lyric: “So, come and get your woman/Pacify her rage” (Japanese Breakfast, “Be Sweet”)

“I mainly listen to a lot of rock music… It reminds me a little bit of when I was a kid. “Working Man” just gets me pumped. It’s basically no words and just a guitar solo the entire time, and “Vienna” reminds me to take it chill. We’re all kind of just living in a space rock and having fun with it.” Favorite lyric: “Slow down, you crazy child” (Billy Joel, “Vienna”)
