2 Chainz has had a very busy start to the year. After dropping a surprise four-track EP titled The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It with features from YG and Offset, his team went head to head with Snoop Dogg’s in the star-studded first ever Hip-Hop All-Star game. On top of that, 2 Chainz purchased a massive blimp to announce his upcoming full length album Rap Or Go To The League.
“In my culture, in my community, it’s one of the things that we were often told was the only way that we could get out of the circumstances that we were put into,” 2 Chainz said in the Instagram video he posted to announce the album.
Rap Or Go To The League marks the 40-year-old rapper’s fifth full-length studio album in the span of an 11-year-long career. 2 Chainz shows no signs of slowing down, proudly proclaiming in the caption of another Instagram post “THIS GONE BE MY BREAKOUT ALBUM !!!”
2 Chainz has yet to announce a tracklist, release date, or any features on the album, but at the pace he’s moving right now, fans shouldn’t expect a very long wait. In the meantime, listen to The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It on any major streaming service and watch the first season of his television show “Most Expensivest” on Viceland.
