With the success of dance-pop hit “Gangnam Style,” South Korean artist Psy released his second single on April 12.
The artist’s second hit, “Gentleman,” also has a video with hilarious and memorable choreography that is easy and fun to do. The song itself, though, is just a comedic round two for the singer.
The lyrics, with help of the video, highlight the irony in being a gentleman while also treating other people poorly. This poor treatment includes speeding up a treadmill until a girl falls, pulling out a chair when a girl tries to sit down and purposely pushing all of the buttons in an elevator when someone desperately needs to use the restroom. This single is similar to that of “Gangnam Style” in that it pokes fun at the antics of society.
This dance tune, though sung in Korean, is an overall crowd-pleaser. The video is even more amusing and adds an extra element with the bloopers in the last few seconds.
